The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
