And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 for what they have done 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
