The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
