He who is negligent to remember the Merciful One, to him We assign a satan as his boon companion, 36 Surely the (devils) obstruct them from the path, though they think they are rightly guided, -- 37 When such a person comes to Us, he will say [to his comrade], "If only you had been as far away from me as east is from west. What an evil comrade!" 38 It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allah's remembrance and His worship, etc.) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarin) in the punishment. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 Even if We take you away from the world, We shall surely take vengeance on them 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 It is indeed a Reminder to you and to your nation, and without doubt you shall be questioned. 44 And ask those of Our apostles whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah? 45
