The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
