Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
