The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
