The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when souls are united, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 The rising dawn, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Then where are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
