T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
