The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
