Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
