Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 Like the boiling of hot water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 Verily this is that whereof ye were wont to doubt. 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 Attired in silk and silk embroidery, facing one another. 53 Thus shall it be: and We shall espouse them to fair, wide-eyed maidens. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 They will not experience any death other than that which they have already been through. 56 As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement! 57 We have made the Quran easy for you to recite so that perhaps they may take heed. 58 So wait thou [for what the future will bring]: behold, they, too, are waiting. 59
