The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hath there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered? 1 Verily We created man out of a drop of intermingled sperm so that We might try him, and We therefore endowed him with hearing and sight. 2 We showed him the right path whether he would be grateful or ungrateful. 3 [Now,] behold, for those who deny the truth We have readied chains and shackles, and a blazing flame 4 Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kafur, 5 From a spring of which the votaries of God will drink and make it flow in abundance. 6 They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide. 7 And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive,- 8 (saying): “We feed you only for Allah's sake; we do not seek of you any recompense or thanks, 9 Surely we fear from our Lord a stern, distressful day. 10 So God has guarded them from the evil of that day, and has procured them radiancy and gladness, 11 And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk. 12 [They will be] reclining therein on adorned couches. They will not see therein any [burning] sun or [freezing] cold. 13 since its [blissful] shades will come down low over them, and low will hang down its clusters of fruit, most easy to reach. 14 Passed round will be silver flagons and goblets made of glass, 15 Godblets of silver, they shall have filled them to exact measure. 16 And therein they shall be given to drink a cup whose mixture is ginger, 17 A fountain there, called Salsabil. 18 ۞ There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls. 19 Whitherto you look around, you will see an abundance of bliss and the glories of a great kingdom. 20 Upon them shall be green garments of silk and brocade; they are adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall give them to drink a pure draught. 21 Behold, this is your recompense and your endeavour has been appreciated. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
