Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
