The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 who guard their privates, 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
