Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? 24 When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy. 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? 31 They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, 32 so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, 35 We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 Which turned everything it touched to ashes. 42 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Thamud. They were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while.” 43 But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; 44 Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. 45 And before them, We destroyed the people of Nooh; they were indeed a sinning nation. 46
