The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
