THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
