The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
