Yet man says: "When I am dead, will I come to life again?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before this, and he was non existent? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 then We shall know very well those most deserving to burn there. 70 And every one of you will come within sight of it: this is, with thy Sustainer, a decree that must be fulfilled. 71 We shall deliver those who took heed for themselves, and leave the evil-doers kneeling there. 72 When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?" 73 And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were fairer in furnishing and outward show! 74 Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the Most Merciful prolong his life span until they see that which they were threatened, be it a punishment, or the Hour. Then shall they know whose is the worst place and who is weaker in hosts' 75 (On the contrary), Allah increases in guidance those who follow the Right Way. Lasting acts of righteousness are better in the sight of your Lord as reward and conducive to a better end. 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Hath he looked unto the Unseen, or hath he taken of the Compassionate a covenant? 78 On the contrary, We will write down what he says and prolong the length of his punishment. 79 and We shall inherit all the resources and hosts of which he boasts, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 They have taken other gods instead of Allah that they may be a source of strength for them. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worship and shall become their adversaries instead. 82
