Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 What though they would say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
