Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
