The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
A. L. M. 1 This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). 2 Who believe in [the existence of] that which is beyond the reach of human perception, and are constant in prayer, and spend on others out of what We provide for them as sustenance; 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 It is they who follow the guidance [which comes from their Sustainer]; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment. 7
