1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 But those who believe not in the Hereafter turn away from the straight path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 (They are such) that We seized them with chastisement (and yet) they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor do they entreat 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
