And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
