Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 And tall date-palms laden with clusters ranged. 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
