Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
