Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
