The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken by the shaking thereof, 1 And when the earth throws out its burdens, 2 and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that day earth will narrate its news, 4 for that her Lord has inspired her. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 Whosoever has done even an atom's weight of good will behold it; 7 And whosoever hath worked ill of an atom's weight shall behold it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
