And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
