We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
