Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
