Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
