Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
