Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted! Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
