And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 (Firon) said: Did we not bring you up as a child among us, and you tarried among us for (many) years of your life? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: Produce it then, if thou art of the truthful! 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
