Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
