And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
