The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 there is no denying its coming 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and a few from later times. 14 on lavish couches 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And spreading shade, 30 and waters gushing, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
