Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
