The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
