Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 When they came to him they said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" [saying to himself]. "They are strangers." 25 Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf 26 And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. 28 And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” 31 They answered: "Behold, we have been sent unto a people lost in sin, 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: 44 And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46
