Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
