Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable! (Day of Judgment). 1 What is the Reality? 2 And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? 3 The Thamud and 'Ad denied the consequential calamity. 4 Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. 5 And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind 6 He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days – so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. 7 Then seest thou any of them left surviving? 8 And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. 9 They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord and He seized them with torment which increased with time. 10 When the water rose in flood, We bore you in the ark, 11 making it a Reminder for you, for all attentive ears to retain. 12 And when the trumpet shall sound one blast 13 And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. 14 on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass; 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their right hands will say, "Come and read my record. 19 Indeed, I knew that I should come to my reckoning' 20 Then he will be in blissful state 21 in a lofty Garden, 22 Clusters whereof shall be near at hand. 23 (They will be told): “Eat and drink with good cheer as a reward for the good deeds you did in the days that have passed by.” 24 But as for him whose record shall be placed in his left hand, he will exclaim: "Oh, would that I had never been shown this my record, 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 "Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me! 27 My wealth has been of no use to me. 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 "Seize him and manacle him, 30 Then cast him to be burnt in Hell; 31 then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him. 32 “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” 33 And urged not on the feeding of the wretched. 34 Therefore he has not here today a true friend, 35 "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds, 36 "Which none do eat but those in sin." 37
