Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning for people -- 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Of evil-doers: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
