Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 Make my task easy 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 And share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
