1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Or do they say: "There is madness in him"? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest! 70 But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ And if We have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them, they would still stubbornly persist, wandering in their rebellion. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
