Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 They shall roast in (the Fire) of Gehenna, an evil cradling. 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 And they shall say: What is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
