Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
