Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
